PASSPORTS
U.S. Passport Holders: You must be in possession of a passport valid for six (6) months beyond the date of your return, or re-entry into the U.S. The passport must contain several blank pages for entrance stamps.
INCLUSIONS
As indicated and applicable: accommodations, internal airfare, charter flights, ground transportation, meals, private transfers and sightseeing, hotel taxes, entrance fees, park fees, and baggage handling. Inclusions will be clearly stated in the documentation you receive.
EXCLUSIONS
Cost of passports and visas, departure taxes, personal expenses such as laundry and beverages (except at some safari camps), communication charges, hotel/cruise incidental expenses, room service, excess baggage fees, international and internal airfare unless noted otherwise, gratuities for guides and drivers, travel and personal insurance coverage. Baggage handling is at the owner’s own risk.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
Deposits will vary from a nominal amount to as much as 50% to confirm a booking. Final payment may be required in full if arrangements are made within 120 days prior to trip departure. Private Journeys may require a non-refundable $250 pp fee before a suggested itinerary is prepared — to be credited toward the cost of arrangements. Additional deposits may be required for certain game lodges and resorts. Once a program is confirmed, alterations to the program may result in a $250/change fee per change. Final payment is due 120-60 days prior to departure.
RATES & FARES
Rates quoted, unless otherwise stated, are per person and generally based on double occupancy with a minimum of two persons traveling. All air quotes are based on current economy class fares not including taxes, are subject to change prior to ticketing and carry penalties/surcharges. Business and First Class fares are available upon request. Flight confirmation is based on availability, and fares can change until tickets are issued. All rates shown are accurate at the time of publication, based upon prevailing exchange rates, and subject to change as a result of fluctuations in exchange rates.
AIRLINES
Resorts & Charted Courses has no control over any airline operations and is not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. Airline delays and any extra expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the airline.
HOTELS, CRUISE SHIPS, SAFARI CAMPS
Resorts & Charted Courses or its independent suppliers may find it necessary to make substitutions in accommodations due to circumstances beyond their control. Normally substitutions are of superior or equal quality.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Each tour or cruise vendor/supplier will determine its cancellation policy, and this schedule will be published and made available to you. Additionally, you may be liable for any non-refundable deposits paid to third-party suppliers on your behalf. There is no refund for a partially completed tour/cruise or for unused services of any kind. Trip cancellation and personal coverage insurance is highly recommended.
PRICE INCREASES
Travel arrangements involving airline and cruise components are subject to supplemental price increases that may be imposed by the supplier and/or government after you have completed your purchase. You hereby consent to any such price increases and authorize your credit or debit card to be used for them. Suppliers have their own contracts covering cancellation penalties and other terms and conditions, and you may be bound by those contracts regardless of whether you receive notice of their terms.
FLASH PROMOTIONS OR "SALES" - PRICE REDUCTIONS
Resorts & Charted Courses will not be held responsible when a third-party supplier reduces pricing previously published, and travel arrangements have been confirmed or paid based upon the previously published pricing. It is not the responsibility of Resorts & Charted Courses to monitor changes to any supplier's promotional marketing, but if such change should occur and is brought to the attention of our company in a timely fashion, Resorts & Charted Courses will negotiate where possible with said supplier to make a suitable adjustment or to issue a refund accordingly. Resorts & Charted Courses, however, will not be held liable to compensate for a supplier's price reduction if the supplier refuses accommodation and/or compensation.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Although optional, medical travel insurance and trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended to protect against the unexpected. Our program allows you to travel worry free with: 1) insurance coverage for trip cancellation or interruption 2) insurance coverage for illness or injury while abroad 3) coverage for emergency medical evacuation 4) reimbursement for baggage loss, theft or damage 5) 24-hour assistance anywhere in the world.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES
At some of the places you will visit on a tour, optional activities will be available from other independent suppliers who are not affiliated with Resorts & Charted Courses or our independent suppliers. Some of these activities carry with them inherent risks, including that of attack by wild animals, which can cause serious injury. These activities include, but are not limited to: (1) walking safaris (2) horseback/camel safaris (3) canoeing (4) ballooning (5) gorilla trekking (6) light aircraft flights (7) diving and snorkeling (7) desert excursions. You should be aware that, although precautions are taken by the suppliers to guard against such dangers, your safety cannot be guaranteed. Should you elect to participate in such activities while you are on a tour, you are free to do so at your own risk.
Resorts & Charted Courses assumes no responsibility for your safety and requests common sense and caution be exercised while visiting the cities and destinations on a tour. The company is in no way responsible for incidents or personal/public interaction occurring between a tour member and anyone you may meet while on tour, nor is Resorts & Charted Courses responsible for criminal activities or any other act or event beyond the direct control of Resorts & Charted Courses.
FORCE MAJEUR
Resorts & Charted Courses is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel, and other similar incidents beyond its control.
Resorts & Charted Courses has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. RESPONSIBILITY
Resorts & Charted Courses is a Florida-based corporation located in Fort Lauderdale, purchasing transportation, hotel and cruise accommodations, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers not affiliated with Resorts & Charted Courses in any way. Although Resorts & Charted Courses chooses the best suppliers available, the company has no right to control their operations and cannot, therefore, be liable for any personal injury or property damage or loss which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts of omission on the part of a supplier or its employees or agents, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment under the control of independent suppliers. By booking a reservation with Resorts & Charted Courses, passenger(s) agrees that any legal action taken against the company can be filed only in the State of Florida and nowhere else.
