Begin your safari and beach adventure by unwinding in the sands of Seychelles. Your own private island paradise awaits at Denis Island. Fill your days with nothing but the pleasures of the island, snorkeling and diving in the pure waters, partaking in reforestation and conservation projects, or simply lazing on the beach. Seduced by the understated elegance of private, beachfront cottages and exquisite cuisine designed to tempt a gourmet’s palate, Denis Private Island is an enchanted Seychelles coral isle, set like a rare jewel in a sapphire sea.

Continue next to Mahe - Seychelles' largest island - and bathe in the sublime opulence of the MAIA Luxury Resort & Spa. Embark on a day trip to nearby islands to snorkel and dive or catch a glimpse of turtles and rare birds on the shore. At the resort, you are attended by your own private butler and enchanted by a stunning 180-degree view of the Indian Ocean from your villa. Overlooking Anse Louis beach, MAIA Luxury Resort & Spa offers an unmatched gastronomic experience consisting of fusion and local-sourced cuisine. In addition to its Balinese-style Spa, there is a choice of exclusive leisure and adventure activities - from watersports to yoga to island exploration - a perfect recipe for a restorative experience.

The beach half of your safari and beach journey ends here.

After a flight to Kenya and a night neighboring the resident giraffes at Giraffe Manor, begin the safari half in Shaba National Park.  Sasaab Camp is hidden away on a rocky ridge above the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River - in prime position for adventure. Explore the bush with Samburu guides who will escort you by camel or safari vehicle through the open terrain. Sasaab is close to the Buffalo Springs National Reserves in Kenya’s Northern Frontier District. It’s a place of rich natural diversity with an astounding number of animals from huge majestic elephant to lion, leopard, cheetah and the Samburu Special Five: the Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Gerenuk antelope and Somali ostrich. Each of the nine Moroccan-styled accommodations is over 100 sq meters with an enormous open-air bathroom and private plunge pool. Sasaab's position on the river naturally facilitates watching the herds of elephant that come to bathe.

Conclude your safari in the famed Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa's premiere sites for big game and birdlife. Situated within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Mara Plains Camp is a luxurious Kenyan escape that offers amazing game viewing opportunities and uncompromising service. On the northern border of the Maasai Mara, you’ll find Mara Plains' canvas tents tucked away amongst the lush vegetation on the banks of the Ntiakitiak River. The traditional safari-style tents, which are raised on decks and have a marquis ceiling, blend into the beautiful countryside and offer sweeping views of the savannah. This camp is one of the smallest in the region and offers the opportunity to get really close to nature and the local wildlife in the heart of a private conservancy with a very low density in vehicles and with abundant big cats. The program is customized and very flexible – it is organized on a daily basis so that you can make the most of the unique and exciting experiences that nature constantly offers. Spend the last few days of your adventure enjoying game drives, bush walks, sundowners, and activities in the beautiful Masai Mara, experiencing the plains on your own custom safari.

Upon arriving at the camp, you walk across a bridge over the river, through a thick, riverine forest, up a small slope to some giant steps, only to be greeted by an endless horizon with one, single, flat-topped tree – the quintessential shape of East Africa – right in your line of sight. When sitting in the middle of one of the richest wild ecosystems in the world it’s exceptionally important not to try and upstage what nature has provided, so the design of Mara Plains is one of understatement and quiet class. The decor pays homage to the essence of East Africa and its chief influences – Maasai and Arab culture. Ancient Swahili heritage is reflected in large wooden doors, and accents of deep red and purple honor the great Maasai chiefs and warriors who have roamed this land for millennia. Add to this cultural melting pot a nod to the colonial era, with rich leathers, copper and brass used in expedition-style campaign furniture and you have a lavish, residential atmosphere which complements the surrounding wilderness.

Our commitment: In the morning, the Savannah rustles to the growls of big cats and in the distance, a herd of zebras approaches a waterhole. This region, beating to Nature’s drum, is a world treasure to be preserved at all costs.
